Centre for Agriculture Strategy and Development (CAS-D)
Pakistan has a rich agricultural heritage, with farming deeply rooted in its culture and traditions. While this strong foundation has made the country's agriculture diverse, it has also created challenges in adopting modern technologies and practices. The Centre for Agriculture Strategy and Development (CAS-D) bridges this gap by promoting innovative, solution-driven research and working closely with farming communities. Through collaboration and practical strategies, the Centre supports sustainable agricultural development and encourages the adoption of contemporary farming techniques.
CPEC-Agriculture Cooperation Center
The CPEC-Agriculture Cooperation Center at PMAS-Arid Agriculture University was established to support Pakistan's agricultural development under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The center promotes collaboration with Chinese universities, research institutions, and industry to encourage technology transfer, research, and policy development. Its goal is to modernize agriculture, enhance food security, and contribute to sustainable agricultural growth in Pakistan.
University Research Farm, Koont
The University Research Farm (URF) at PMAS-Arid Agriculture University was established in 2007 to strengthen agricultural research, education, and practical training. Spread over 1,880 kanals in Koont, Gujar Khan, the farm provides hands-on learning opportunities for students and farmers, with a special focus on rainfed agriculture. Equipped with modern research facilities, laboratories, glasshouses, and a weather station, URF supports innovative research, teaching, and sustainable agricultural development.
Central Research Laboratory

Initially Central lab was equipped with few sophisticated instruments along with well-trained and dedicated staff later on various funded projects further improve the technical facilities in lab. The lab is equipped with the latest tools and equipment to give researchers ample exposure to the latest developments in the field of natural sciences. Central lab offers opportunities for scientific research that enable students and scientists to pursue research in disciplines of biological, chemical and agricultural sciences.
