The University Institute of Management Sciences of PMAS-AAUR organized a symposium on the practices of human resources management on May 18, 2010. The symposium was designed for students to learn from the experiences of senior executive human resource professionals.
The seminar was addressed by speakers from different national as well as international institutes and industries. They stressed the need to make a link between Industry and academia and the experts expressed their views to excel the functioning of industry.
Different well known HR Professionals including Taimur Aziz Bhatti (HR Manager - Micronet Nayatel), Imdad ullah ( Recruitment Manager PTCL), Tariq Iqbal (HR Manager volta group of companies), Hammad Malik ( HR Manager UFONE), Mehreen Rasheed (HR Representative Schlumberger) and M AAmir Qureshi ( GM Human Institutional Development spoke on the occasion.
They said that HR strategies and HR practice must be well executed for success of companies and industries as well as to achieve organizational goals. They said the HR professional can be a benchmark against good practices and this seminar will show how the corporate sector has evolved this form of management and performing better than the personnel management in the public sector. |
